Wellness Coach for........
Healthcare Providers and Caregivers

Picture
It’s a fact of life: healthcare professionals have their fair share of undue stress each day as you manage relationships with patients, coworkers, doctors, and other members of the healthcare team.

Healthcare is a stressful environment and one can feel fatigued by the demands.   Time is often spent focusing on the needs of others, while neglecting  care for self.  With the stresses and never-ending demands , you may find your professional quality of life fading in the background.   Professional quality of life is the quality one feels in relation to their work as a helper. Both the positive and negative aspects of doing one’s job influence ones professional quality of life. Healthcare providers have close interpersonal contact with suffering thus, emotional boundries get blurred.  You may be an expert at caring for patients yet, never have time to care for yourself. As a frontline provider in an out of busy health care system, it’s easy to feel like your life and career are out of your control. You are driven by the compassion to take care of others.  Compassion Satisfaction and Compassion Fatigue are two aspects of Professional Quality of Life. They encompass the positive (Compassion Satisfaction) and the negative (Compassion Fatigue) parts of helping others who have experienced suffering. Compassion fatigue breaks into two parts. The first part concerns things such as such as exhaustion, frustration, anger and depression typical of burnout. Secondary Traumatic Stress is a negative feeling driven by fear and work-related trauma.

Ask Yourself?
DO I take excellent care of others and yet lack the skills necessary to care of myself?
Does it feels like there isn't enough time to do get everything done?
Does it feels like my sense of purpose has faded?
Do I find myself weary from helping others on a regular basis?
Does it feel like the long hours I caregive interfer with my passions?

Sunni New Direction , LLC

As a  nurse with  30+ years of nursing experience, … I walk in the same path of constraints and limitations many of you face. As a coach, I partner and offer support to recognize powerful energy blocks that hold you back from nurturing yourself. Though a three step process we will get to the heart of the issues, identify, and build on your inner strengths.

My mission is to facilitate a journey to wellness for healthcare providers and cargivers who may experience burnout due to compassion fatigue. If working with others suffering, changes you so deeply in negative ways that your understanding of yourself changes, this is vicarious trauma.  I am passionate about helping you identify personal coping strategies and establish boundaries, by understanding your current situation and lead you to self transformation.
